cups
Sugar 2
cups
Water
Fresh mint,
uncrushed
Finely crushed ice 1/2
tablespoon
Simple syrup 2
ounces
Kentucky whiskey
Sprig of mint Directions:
Make a simple syrup by boiling sugar and water for 5 minutes without stirring. Fill a jar loosely with sprigs of fresh mint (uncrushed) and cover with the cooled syrup. Cap and refrigerate 12 to 24 hours. Discard the mint and make one julep at a time. Fill the julep cup with finely crushed ice, pour in syrup and Kentucky whiskey. Frost a cup, stick in a sprig of mint and serve at once.
