Hot Buttered Drink Mix

Light brown sugar,
Pumpkin pie spice,
plus 2 teaspoons
Rum Toddy: 1 cup boiling water, 2 tbls rum, 1 tbls Hot Buttered Drink Mix, 1 (4inch) stick of cinnamon. Combine boiling water, rum and hot drink mix in a mug, stir well add cinnamon stick.
Mulled Cider: 1 cup boiling apple cider or juice, 1 tbls Hot buttered Mix, 1 orange slice, dash of nutmeg. Combine the apple cider and the Hot buttered Mix in a mug: stir well and Garnish with Orange slice and sprinkle with nutmeg if desired.
Cafe au Lait: 1/2 cup hot milk, 1/2 cup strong hot coffee, 1 tbls Hot buttered Mix, Whipping cream, grated chocolate. Combine 1st 3 ingredients in a mug: stir well. Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle of grated chocolate if desired.
Cream butter in a large mixing bowl; gradually add sugar and spices, and beat until smooth at high speed of an electric mixer. Stir in vanilla. Store in airtight containers for 1 month in refrigerator or 3 months in freezer. Include following recipes with gift package. Makes about 4 1/2 cups mix.
