Kahlua Tightwad Style
Instant coffee crystals
Put water and sugar into a non-metal (preferably) saucepan. Stirring often, simmer to dissolve sugar. Add the coffee. DO NOT BOIL! Simmer slowly until coffee is dissolved. Cool to room temperature (water bath) Add vanilla and vodka. Stir and bottle. Let stand at least 24 hours. If you can wait -- age 6 weeks for more mellow blend.
