Ingredients:
1 1/2  pounds  Royal Anne cherries with no pits
1 1/2  cups  Sugar
2 1/2  cups  Vodka
1  cup  Brandy

Directions:
Yield: makes about 1 quart Wash cherries; cut each cherry with a knife to open up. Place cherries in aging container. Pour sugar over cherries; stir with a wooden spoon to mix well. Pour vodka and brandy over cherry mixture. Stir well to combine and partly dissolved sugar. Cover container and place in a cool place. Stir regularly in the first month to assist sugar dissolving. Cap, and place in a cool, dark place for 2 more months. After aging, pour liqueur through a colander placed in a large mixing bowl. Discard cherries. Strain again through fine wire mesh or cloth until desired clarity is reached. Bottle as desired. May be served, but improves with additional aging. Liqueur is ready in 3 months.
