Categories: Holidays / Microwave / Non-Alcoholic Beverages

Ingredients:
12    cinnamon sticks, crushed
1/4  cup  whole cloves, crushed
1/4  cup  allspice, crushed
2  tablespoons  orange peel, dried, grated
2  tablespoons  lemon peel, dried, grated
9    coffee filters, 8 1/4", 2 1/2" depth, 3 1/4" diameter, cut into quarters
    cotton string
apple cider, cran-apple juice, or cran-raspberry juice

Directions:
1. In sm. bowl, combine cinnamon, cloves, allspice, orange peel and lemon peel. For each bundle, place 1 tsp. of the mixture in center of coffee filter triangle; bring up sides and tie in a bundle(s) to cider in saucepan, using 1 bundle for each 6 oz. of cider. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 10 mins. Remove bundle(s) with tongs. Makes 36 bundles.

2. MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: Place 1 bundle and 6 oz. of cider in microwave-safe mug. Microwave on HIGH for 2-3 mins. or until cider comes to a boil. Let stand 4 mins.; remove spice bundle. "Give these bundles along with a jug of apple cider."

*TIP: To crush spices, place in double thickness of heavy-duty resealable plastic bags; seal. Place on cutting board; hit with hammer to crush.
