Spicy Pomegranate Drink Medieval
1.50 c Water
1.00 c Sugar
0.50 ts Cinnamon
0.25 ts Nutmeg
0.13 ts Ginger
4.00 ea Whole cloves
0.50 ea Unblemished lemon
1.00 qt Fresh pomegranate juice -OR-

In a large enameled pot combine water, sugar, and all spices. Bring
to a boil and gently simmer for 7 minutes. Remove the whole cloves.
