Applesauce,
fresh cooked

Vanilla 2
teaspoons
Cinnamon 1
teaspoon
Soda 1

Powdered sugar 6
teaspoons
Coffee 1

Butter 6
teaspoons
Cocoa 6
teaspoons
Vanilla
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter; add eggs and cream until light. Sift flour, cocoa, cinnamon and soda; add alternately with applesauce. Blend and add nuts and vanilla. Pour into two 8 inch greased and floured cake pans and bake until done. Icing: Sift dry ingredients and add vanilla and butter; blend until smooth. May adjust consistency with canned milk or more powdered sugar.
