Best Pound Cake Butter Busters

1  cup  Butter Buds, or Promise fatfree margarine
2 1/2  cups  Sugar, see notes
1/4  cup  Vanilla
3  cups  Self-rising flour
1  cup  Skim milk
2    Egg whites

Blend together with hand mixer, Butter Buds, sugar, Egg Beaters and vanilla. Alternate adding a little flour, then a little milk. Keep alternating until you have added all the flour and milk. Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold egg whites into cake mixture. Bake at 325F. for 45 minutes to an hour in a bundt pan sprayed with Pam. Note: I prefer the Promise Ultra fatfree margarine in this recipe. This cake is really good served with hot apple or cherry pie filling sponoed on top and a dollop of Dream Whip. You can substitute 2 1/2 cups of sugar for 1 1/2 cups of sugar and 12 packets of Sweet 'n Low
