Brandied Holiday Cakes

Ingredients:
1/3  c  Butter, softened
1 1/3  c  Packed light brown sugar
1/2  ts  Vanilla extract
2    Large eggs
1  c  All-purpose flour
1  t  Baking powder
1/2  ts  Salt
1/4  c  Orange juice
2  tb  Brandy
1  c  Candied fruit
1/2  c  Chopped dates
1/4  c  Dried apricots, chopped
    ---- glaze:, ---
1/3  c  Sugar
1/3  c  Orange juice
2  tb  Brandy

Directions:
Recipe by: Jo Anne Merrill Preparation Time: 0:35 1. Grease 12 muffin tins very generously with margarine or butter. Set 2. Place the softened margarine, brown sugar and vanilla in a mixing b 3. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to the creamed mixture a 4. Fill each muffin tin almost to the top. Place a pan of hot water on 5. When cakes are done, remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes. Use GLAZE: Combine sugar, orange juice and brandy in a saucepan. Heat over low Yield: 12 small holiday cakes.
