Butter Ball Cookies (leti Labell)
1 c butter 4 Tbsp powdered sugar 1 tsp vanilla 2 c flour 1 c chopped
nuts, preferably hazelnuts (filberts) Additional powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream butter. Add sugar and beat until light. Add vanilla and mix
well. Stir in flour, and then nuts. Shape into small balls, about
3/4" to 1" in diameter. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet, and bake
for 15 minutes.
While still hot, roll in addional sugar.
If desired, roll in sugar again just before serving.
