Mix cream cheese well to soften. Add egg whites. Blend in sugar and combine with cream cheese. Add vanilla. Pour into 9 inch square pan 1/34 inch deep. Build up sides with brown paper strips to 2 inches above rim. Butter pan and paper. Or use buttered 8 inch spring form 3 inches deep. Dust with zwieback crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Mix together sour cream, sugar and vanilla and spread over baked mixture. Sprinkle toasted almonds on top. Bake 5 minutes longer at 475 degrees. Chill 2 hours.
