Flour + 1 Teaspoon
At Room Temperature
Preheat oven to 325 deg F. Butter the sides and bottom of a 9x13 inch pan.
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler, allow to cool slightly. Combine the
butter and 1 1/4 c sugar, cream until light and fluffy. Add three eggs and
continue to beat well. Stir in melted chocolate, mix until smooth. Stir in
the flour and salt. Spread the chocolate batter in the pan, but reserve 1
cup. Combine the cream cheese and remaining 3/4 c sugar into a new bowl.
Beat on medium speed until smooth, add the remaining eggs and vanilla
extract. Beat until smooth. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over
the chocolate layer. Scatter spoonfuls of the reserved chocolate batter
over the cream cheese. With a knife, swirl the chocolate batter into the
cream cheese mixture. Bake the brownies for 50-55 minutes, until a
toothpick inserted in he middle comes out dry. Cool for at least 1/2 hour
