Cherry Pecan Cheesecake

2  cups  Vanilla wafer crumbs
1/2  cup  Chopped pecans
1/2  cup  Melted butter

24  ounces  Cream cheese, softened
1  cup  Sugar
3    Eggs
1/2  teaspoon  Vanilla

1  pint  Sour cream
3  tablespoons  Sugar
1/4  teaspoon  Vanilla
1  can  Cherry pie filling

1. Crust: Mix together and pat on bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan or use a springform pan.

2. Filling: Mix softened cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar. Mix. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Add vanilla. Pour over crust. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-23 minutes. Remove from oven. Turn oven to 500 degrees.

3. Topping: Mix together and spread over cheesecake. Return to oven for 5-8 minutes. Cool and top with 1 can cherry pie filling. Let set at least 8 hours before serving.
