Cherry Skillet Cake
No 2 can pitted red sour
-cherries, packed in water
Teasp almond extract
-Few drops red food color
Bakers' spongecake layer
In skillet of same size as cake layer, combine first 5 ingredients.
Cook over low heat, stirring, until thickened. Place cake layer, top
side up, on cherries; cover; cook 5 min. Invert onto serving plate.
Serve warm, with cream if desired. Makes 6 servings.
