Cream Cheese Cutout Chookies (xmas)
Cream cheese, softened
Vanila extract (or half
Almond or lemon)
GLAZE: 1 c confectioners' sugar 2-3 T milk 1/4 t extract of choice

light. Add flour blending well. Chill dough several hours or
When ready to bake, preheat oven to 375F
Using a section at a time, roll dough to 1/8 inch on a floured cloth.
Cut into desired shapes and bake on ungreasted cookie sheets for 7-10
minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a rack.
Glaze: Mix confectioners' sugar, milk, and extract together and brush
over cooled cookies.
Sprinkle with colored sugars if desired.
Optional: Roll the dough into a log, wrap and refrigerate to be
sliced when needed. Slice into 1/8-inch slices. Cook as above.
