Categories: Desserts / Pies & Pastries

Ingredients:
3  c  fruit, raw, * see note
1  tb  lemon juice
1/2  c  sugar, or to taste
1/2  c  flour
1/2  c  brown sugar
1  tb  oil
1/2  t  cinnamon

Directions:
* Use apples, cherries, peaches or rhubarb. Pit, peel and slice the fruit. Mix together and place in a deep 8" baking dish with the white sugar and lemon juice. Bake at 375 F. until fruit is tender (about 45 min. for apples). With pastry blender, mix together the flour, brown sugar, oil and cinnamon until it is crumbly. Place atop the cooked fruit and continue to bake until brown and bubbly. Top each serving with ice milk or sherbet. American Heart Assoc. By "Lloyd A. Carver" <lloyd2@mindspring.com> on Jan 5, 1996
