Ingredients: 1
cup
Sugar 3/4
cup
Butter,
softened
3/4
cup
Shortening 1/2
teaspoon
Almond extract 2
Eggs 4
cups
Flour 1/2
cup
Almonds,
finely chopped
3
cups
Powdered sugar 4
tablespoons
Milk,
up to 5 tablespoons
Directions:
1.
Heat oven to 375 degrees.

Mix together first 5 ingredients. Stir in the next 2. Shape dough into 1-1/4" diameter balls. Roll each into a rope, 6" long. Form each into a circle, crossing ends & tucking under to form a perfect "bracelet." Place on ungreaased cookie sheet. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or til set but not brown. Remove from sheet. COOL completely.
3.
Prepare GLAZE and drizzle on cookies. Sprinkle with additional nuts if desired. Mix glaze ingredient until of drizzling consistency.
