Italian Bow Knot Cookies With Lemon Icing
juice of 2 lemons
LEMON ICING: Cream butter. Add remaining ingredients. Stir until well blended. If too thin add more sugar; too thick add more lemon juice.
Blend beaten eggs into dry ingredients, following with all other ingredients. Knead until smooth. Roll into pencil lengths and tie in bow knots. Bake on greased cookie sheets in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes.
This recipe left out what type of extract. It might be anise or lemon.
