Jan's Chocolate Pineapple Cake

20  ounces  crushed pineapple in syrup, not juice
2  cups  flour
1  cup  sugar
1 1/2  teaspoons  baking soda
1/2  teaspoon  salt
1/4  teaspoon  cinnamon
1/4  teaspoon  nutmeg
4  ounces  sweet chocolate square, chopped
1  cup  chopped nuts
1/2  cup  raisins, coarsely chopped
2    eggs, lightly beaten
1/3  cup  butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9" tube pan, then line it with WELL-BUTTERED wax paper. Drain pineapple well, reserving 3/4 cup syrup. Mix flour, sugar, soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir in chocolate, nuts, and raisins.. Add eggs, butter, pineapple, and syrup. Mix just until moistened. Bake at 350 for about an hour. Cool in pan for 15 mins before removing. Store overnite before serving.
