Lemon Angel Cake Dessert

Ingredients:
2/3  cups  butter
1 1/3  cup  sugar
1/4  cup  lemon juice
1/4  teaspoon  vanilla
2/3  cups  whipping cream
6    eggs
1    angel food cake

Directions:
Cream butter and sugar, add lemon juice and vanilla. Divide egg yolks and whites. Add 1 egg yolk at a time, beating well. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and whipped cream. Break cake into small pieces and layer in 13 x 9-in pan with mixture. Cover with chopped walnuts or almond shavings. Refrigerate for 24 hours.
