Mary's Raisin-oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients:
1  cup  butter, softened
1 1/2  cups  sugar
1  large  egg
1/4  cup  water
1  teaspoon  vanilla extract
1 1/2  cups  all-purpose flour
1  teaspoon  baking soda
1/2  teaspoon  salt
3/4  teaspoon  ground cinnamon
3/4  teaspoon  ground nutmeg
3  cups  oats, uncooked, quick cooking
1  cup  raisins

Directions:
Cream butter; gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add egg, and beat well. Blend in water and vanilla. Sift flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg together. Add to the creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats and raisins. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly on cookie sheets; remove to wire racks and cool completely. Yield: about 3 1/2-4 dozen. Me ke aloha, Mary
