Ingredients:
1/2  cup  butter
3/4  cup  cocoa powder, [hersheys]
1/4  cup  vegetable oil
1  cup  white sugar
1  cup  brown sugar
2  teaspoons  vanilla, or 1 T. liquer
4    eggs
1 1/2  cups  flour
1  teaspoon  baking powder
1/2  teaspoon  salt
1/2  cup  chopped walnuts
1/2  cup  chocolate chips

Directions:
In a large saucepan, melt together the butter, oil, and cocoa powder over low heat to prevent scorching. Remove from heat. Stir in the sugar and vanilla, blending well. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in dry ingredients just until blended. Fold in nuts and choc chips. Spread batter in a greased and floured 13 x 9 pan. Bake 35-40 minutes.

This recipe halves well in a 9x9 pan. Can also use all white sugar.
