Nutcracker Sweet Bars (xmas)
TOPPING: 1 c sugar 2 1/4 c chopped pecans
4 egg whites 1 1/2 t cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350F. LIghtly grease a jelly-roll pan (13x9). With
electric mixer or in a food processor, cream butter and sugar until
light and fluffy; add egg and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour; mix
until dough reaches a good spreading consistency. Spread dough in
jelly roll pan. Bake 15 minutes. Remove from oven; cool slightly.
Maintain oven heat at 350F. Mix together all topping ingredients by
hand. DO NOT beat egg whites. Spread over cookie crust; bake 15
minutes more. Cool; cut into bars.
