Ingredients:
    jennifer gant (sphk14b)
1 1/2  c  sifted flour
1/2  c  oatmeal, uncooked
    quick or old fashioned
1  t  salt
1/2  c  shortening
6  tb  cold water

Directions:
Sift together flour and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles course crumbs. Stir in oatmeal. Sprinkle water by tablespoons over mixtures; stir lightly with fork until just dampened. (If necessary, add another tablespoon cold water to make dough hold together.) Form into ball. Turn out on lightly floured board. Divide in half. Roll one half to form a 13" circle. Fit loosely into a 9" pie plate. Fill with desired filling. Roll out remaining dough to a 12" circle. Cut slits in crust and place over filling. Crimp edge and bake as directed in recipe.
