Orange Slice Candy Cookies

Ingredients:

1 c Shortening

2 c Brown sugar

3 Eggs

3 c Flour

1 t Cream of tartar

1 t Baking soda

1 t Vanilla

2 c Orange slice candies, cut up

1/2 c Nuts, chopped

Directions:
Cream shortening; add sugar and eggs. Beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients. Add vanilla, nuts and orange pieces. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned.
