Peppermint Fudge Squares (sharon Stevens)

Ingredients: 2/3

Evaporated milk 1 2/3
c
Sugar 2
tb
Butter 1/2
ts
Salt 2
c
Miniature marshmallows 1 1/2
c
Chocolate chips 1/2
ts
Peppermint extract 1/2
c
Chopped walnuts
Directions:
Mix milk, sugar, butter and salt in a pot. Bring to a full boil,
then boil for 5 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add
marshmallows, chocolate chips, flavoring and walnuts. Stir
vigorously until marshmallows are melted and thoroughly blended. Pour
into 8 inch square pan. Chill.
Makes about 2 pounds.
