Quesadilla Salvadorena

Ingredients:
1  cup  rice flour
8  ounces  cream cheese, softened
3    eggs, separated
1/2  cup  butter or margarine, softened
1  cup  sugar, 3/4c to 1 c
1/2  cup  sour cream
1/2  cup  half and half
  dash  salt
    sesame seeds

Directions:
Beat rice flour with cream cheese until well blended. Beat in the egg yolks, butter, sugar, creams, and salt. Beat whites until firm and fold into cheese mixture. Pour into an 8 x 11 inch greased pan. Sprinkle top with sesame seeds. Bake in 350F oven for 45 min. or until light golden brown. Best served warm.

This recipe comes from the small village of Rosario de La Paz in El Salvador and is not to be confused with the Mexican quesadilla.
