Butter or margarine 1/4

Peanut butter 1
c
Sugar 1
Egg 1 1/4
c
Flour,sifted 1

Baking soda 1
t
Salt 1/2
ts
Cinnamon 1/4
ts
Nutmeg 1/4
ts
Cloves 1
c
Applesauce
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350'F.~ 2. Cream together butter, peanut butter,
and sugar. Add egg and beat well. Sift dry ingredients together and
add alternately with applesauce to creamed mixture. Pour into greased
waxed-paper-lined 8x8x2" pan. Bake in preheated oven 40 minutes, or
until done. Cool 5-10 minutes, remove from pan to rack, and cut into
squares.
