Walnut Dainties

Ingredients:
3/4  cup  soft butter
1 1/2  cups  packed brown sugar
1    egg, beaten
1  teaspoon  vanilla
1 1/2  cups  flour
1  teaspoon  baking powder
1/2  teaspoon  rum extract
1  cup  walnuts, finely chopped

Directions:
Cream butter with brown sugar until light. Beat in egg and vanilla. Mix in flour, baking powder and rum extract. Add walnuts. Spread in greased 8" square cake pan. Bake at 350F for 35 minutes and cut into squares. Serve hot or cold, plain or with whipped cream or ice cream. Store in tin.
