Caramel Turtle Truffle Tart

Truffle Mixture: Heat choc. chips and 1/3 c. heavy cream in microwave for 1-1/4 min. until choc. is melted. When crust is cool, spread 3/4 of the truffle mixture evenly over the bottom. Refrigerate 15 min. or until truffle is set. In large saucepan, combine caramels and remaining heavy cream. Heat, stirring constantly, until caramels are melted--about 3 min. Stir in pecans. Spread caramel-pecan mixture evenly over chilled truffle mixture. Heat remaining 1/4 truffle mixture in microwave for 15-20 sec. to melt. Drizzle over top of tart. Refrigerate at least 1 hr. Serves 8-10.
Make crust: In food processor with steel blade, combine butter, sugar and vanilla. Process 1 min. Add flour and blend. With machine running, add egg and process until dough forms a ball. Press dough into bottom and up the sides of an 11" tart pan with removable bottom. Bake 10-15 min. at 400 until golden. Let cool.
