Author/Submitted by: RUTH BURKHAR
Servings: 6
Categories: Chocolate / Desserts / Pies & Pastries

Ingredients:
8  ounces  cream cheese, soften
1/2  cup  granulated sugar
1  teaspoon  vanilla extract
2    egg yolks
1  teaspoon  unflavored gelatin
1/4  cup  water
1  cup  whipping cream
4  ounces  semisweet chocolate, melted
    cookie crust, * see note
    strawberries, for garnish
    pecan halves

Directions:
Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Beat in yolks, one at a time until well blended. Combine gelatin and water in small saucepan over low heat. Stir until gelatin is dissolved. Cool slightly. Beat gelatin mixture into batter. Combine 3/4 cup batter and melted chocolate. Whip cream until soft peaks form. Fold half of whipped cream into chocolate batter and remaining half into vanilla batter. With large spoon, alternately place spoonsfuls of chocolate and vanilla batters into crust until all batter is used. With small spatula or knife, swirl batter to form a marble pattern. Chill for at least 3 hours. Garnish with strawberries and/or pecans.

you can use cookie dough (in grocery store refrigerator case) to make the cookie crust--just pat out dough very thinly on cookie sheet and bake according to the instructions.
