Prepare your favorite angel cake batter. Cover the bottom of an
un-oiled tube pan with cake batter, and sprinkle generously with
shredded coconut which has been finely divided. Cover with batter,
and add a second layer of coconut. Continue until 1 cup of coconut
has been used. Bake in slow oven (325 F) 50 minutes. If desired, food
coloring in either powder, paste, or liquid form may be added to the
water in the angel cake recipe. Any intensity of color may be
