Base and Top 2

Flour 2

Rolled oates 1
c
Brown sugar 1/2

Baking soda 1

Salt 1/2

Butter (save some for
-sprinkling on top. 1
ea
Egg 1
c
Dates (large cup) 1/2
c
Water 1
t
Butter 1/3
c
Brown sugar
Directions:
First 7 ingrediants are the base and top...save some of the butter for
sprinkling on top...blend these ingredients together .Take half for
the bottom and save other half for the topping.Put bottom half in an
8x8 pan.
Cook the dates,water,1 tsp. butter,brown sugar till thick...add some
vanilla. Spread evenly in pan. Add the crumb topping and drizzle with
remaining melted butter.
Bake at 325F for 25-30 minutes.
