Deb Watkins' Caramel Bars

Ingredients:
1  Package  German Chocolate Cake Mix, (18-Oz.)
6  Ounces  Chocolate Chips
1  Cup  Nuts, chopped
3/4  Cup  Margarine, softened
50    Caramels, (14 oz. bag)
2/3  Cup  Evaporated Milk, divided

Directions:
Mix together cake mix, margarine and 1/3 cup of the evaporated milk. Put half of mixture in greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Sprinkle with chips and nuts. Melt caramels with other 1/3 cup milk. Drizzle caramel over mixture in pan. Crumble remaining chocolate mixture over top and bake for 20 minutes more.
