1/2  c  butter or margarine, softene
3/4  c  packed brown sugar
2    eggs
1  t  vanilla
1/2  c  all-purpose flour
6  oz  semisweet chocolate pieces
1  c  diamond walnuts
1    unbaked pie shell, (9 inch)

A simple idea that's a new twist for cookie-lovers of all ages. In large bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy. Blend in flour. Stir in chocolate pieces and walnuts. Pour mixture into unbaked pie shell. Bake below oven center at 325 degrees F, for 50 to 55 minutes, or until top is golden brown and pick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired. By "Lloyd A.
