Easy Blender Pumpkin-Cheese Pie

1  8"  graham-cracker pie shell
1  c  plain pumpkin
    cooked or canned
1 1/2  c  low-fat cottage cheese
    creamed, large-curd
3    eggs
1  tb  rum flavoring
    or vanilla extract
1 1/2  ts  pumpkin-pie spice
1  pn  salt
5  tb  brown sugar
    brown or white sugar
    substitute to equal to 4
    sugar (optional)

Unwrap pie shell. Combine remaining ingredients in blender; cover and blend on high speed until very smooth. Pour into pie shell. Bake in a preheated 275 oven 1 hour or more, until filling is set.
