Ginger Puffs

Ingredients:
2  cups  Sifted all-purpose flour
1  teaspoon  Baking powder
1/2  teaspoon  Soda
1/2  teaspoon  Salt
2  teaspoons  Ginger
1/2  teaspoon  Allspice
1/2  teaspoon  Cinnamon
1/2  cup  Shortening, soft
1/2  cup  Brown sugar, firmly packed
2    Eggs
1/2  cup  Light molasses
1  cup  Cooked oatmeal, cooled*

Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt and spices into bowl. Add remaining ingredients. Beat until smooth, about 2 minutes. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cooky sheets. Bake in preheated moderate oven (375 F) 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from cooky sheets; cool. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar, if desired. *NOTE: Cook Quaker Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked) according to package directions.
