Mom's (Calhoun) Quick Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients:
1  pound  ground beef, sliced
    salt and pepper
1  large  onions
4  large  garlic cloves, diced
2  jar  spaghetti sauce, save jar
14.5  ounces  diced tomatoes
    dried basil
    dried oregano
    dried mint flakes
    dried parsley, dried

Directions:
Crumble and brown meat. Season with salt and pepper. Add onion and garlic. Stir. Cook until softened. Add spaghetti sauce and diced tomatoes. Stir. Add small handfuls of each: basil, oregano, mint, and parsley. Stir. Then fill 1/4 of jar with water and add to sauce. Cook on high until bubbling. Turn down to low heat and cook for at least an hour. Serve with favorite pasta.
