Categories: Cookies / Desserts

Ingredients:
1  Pkg  Dry Yeast
1/2  Cup  Warm Water
1  Cup  Milk
1/2  Cup  Granulated Sugar
1 1/2  Teasp  Salt
1/2  Cup  Butter
2    Eggs, slightly beaten
5 1/2  C.  Flour
    -----Topping/Filling-----
1/2  Cup  Butter
1  Pound  Light Brown Sugar
1  Teasp  Cinnamon
3/4  Teasp  Grated Nutmeg

Directions:
Dissolve the yeast in the warm water. Combine the milk, granulated sugar, salt, and butter in a saucepan, heating gently until sugar dissolves and butter is melted. Remove saucepan from heat and cool slightly. Stir in yeast and eggs. Transfer to a large bowl, and gradually add flour, stirring constantly. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth. Butter or grease a large bowl and place the dough into it, turning once. Cover and let rise until volume doubles. Punch dough down and divide in two, spreading 1/2 in each of two baking dishes (11x7x2 inches). Brush surfaces with a little butter, let rise until doubled. Preheat oven to 375F (190C). Make holes in dough by poking with finger or thumb. Melt the 1/2 cup butter with the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour over the dough, filling the indentations. Bake 25 minutes
