Pinch of salt
Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cream butter and sugar until
fluffy. Fold in eggs one at a time. Fold in alternately with flour
the liquid mixture in 1/3 portions. Begin and end with flour. Bake
at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done. Use pound cake or two
cake pans. Cream Topping: Pour 1/4 of the quart of milk into double
boiler. Combine flour and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add
balance of milk slowly to form soft mixture. Then add scalding milk
stirring constantly til it thickens.
Add vanilla and cool. Pour over cake. Nena Won
