    -----DOUGH-----
2    Eggs, beaten

2  ts  Vanilla
2  ts  Baking soda
1  t  Salt
2  c  Sugar
1  c  Milk
4  ts  Baking powder
7  c  Flour
    -----FILLING-----
3  c  Raisins
1/2  c  Sugar
3  tb  Flour

Directions:
Prepare raisins (see below) so they can cool while you are mixing the dough together. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, then milk. Sift dry ingredients. Add to other mixture. Roll dough on floured board and cut round cookie. Grind raisins add sugar, flour and water. Cook over low heat until thick. Stir constantly. Allow mixture to cool partially before adding to the cookies. Place one teaspoon of filling on each cookie and fold over to cover. Bake at 350 (no time given) Have to experiment with time (probably seal edges of dough of the cookie before baking) From the Blue Cross book. == Courtesy of Dale & Gail Shipp, Columbia Md. ==
