Toasted Butter Pecan Cake

Ingredients:
1 1/3  c  Chopped pecans
35  g  Butter
175  g  Butter
250  g  Sugar
250  g  Sifted all purpose flour
2  ts  Baking powder
1/4  ts  Salt
150  ml  Milk
2    Eggs
2  ts  Vanilla
50  g  Butter
600  g  Sifted confectioners' sugar
50  ml  Light cream
1  t  Vanilla

Directions:
Recipe by: Carole A. Resnick ak399@cleveland.freenet.edu 1. Preheat oven to 180 C . Grease and flour two 20 cm tins. 2. In a shallow pan, dot the 35 g butter over pecans. 3. Toast for 15, minutes, stirring occasionally. 4. Sift dry ingredients. 5. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, 6. Pour into prepared pans. Bake 30-35 minutes. .SH "Toasted Butter Pecan 7. Combine all ingredients. Beat until smooth. 8. Spread frosting between layers, on sides, and top. 9. Sprinkle remsining nuts on top of cake. Difficulty : moderate. Precision : measure ingredients.
