Toffee Cake

Ingredients:
    -----Topping-----
2  Tablespoons  Flour
3  Tablespoons  Light Brown Sugar
3  Tablespoons  Unsalted Butter
1/2  Teaspoon  Ground Ginger
1/2  Cup  Hazelnuts, chopped & toasted
    -----Cake-----
1/2  Cup  Unsalted Butter, softened
1 1/2  Cups  Sugar
3    Eggs
1  Teaspoon  Vanilla
2 1/2  Cups  Flour
2 1/2  Cups  Flour
2  Teaspoons  Baking Powder
1  Cup  Sour Cream

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease an 8-inch springform pan. Topping: place flour and sugar in a small bowl. Cut in the butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the ginger and nuts until well mixed. Refrigerate until needed. Cake: cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until well combined. Stir together the flour and baking powder and fold into creamed mixture. Stir in the sour cream until thoroughly blended. Spread the batter in pan and sprinkle with topping. Bake 1 to 1 1/4 hours.
