Whole Wheat Chocolate Cake (Rich Harper)

Ingredients:
1 1/2  cups  Sugar
1  cup  Flour
3/4  cup  Whole wheat flour
2  teaspoons  Baking soda
1  teaspoon  Salt
1  cup  Butter
1  cup  Water
1/4  cup  Cocoa
2    Eggs, beaten
1/2  cup  Sour cream
1/2  cup  Butter
6  teaspoons  Milk
1/4  cup  Cocoa
1  pound  Powdered sugar
1  teaspoon  Vanilla

Directions:
1. Prheheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 13x9x2 inch pan.

2. Stir together sugar, flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl. Combine 1 c butter, water and 1 c cocoa in saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Pour into flour mixture. Mix well, using wooden spoon. Blend in eggs and sour cream, mixing well. Pour batter into pan and bake 30 minutes, until cake tests done. Place in pan on rack.

3. Combine 1/2 c butter, milk, and 1/4 c cocoa in saucepan. Cook over medium heat until butter is melted and mixture is smooth. Sift powdered sugar and stir in. Continue cooking over low heat until powdered sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla.

4. Immediately pierce warm cake with fork and pour frosting over all. Cool completely. Cut into squares.
